Heron Pointe is a beautiful luxurious community and one of the reasons for that is the care that homeowners give to their homes. As follow up to the community survey last summer, quite a few homeowners have received letters recently asking to address a matter involving your home. This is a friendly reminder that Sun Sweeping performs the sweeping of the streets on the first and third Tuesday of each month. It would be greatly appreciated if you could move any vehicles from the street from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM to ensure that the streets are thoroughly cleaned.

The adjourned annual meeting and election for the Heron Pointe Maintenance Corporation was held June 27, 2023.
We are happy to welcome two new Board members to the Board of Directors. Diane Lenning who will serve a 2-year term and write-in candidate Jean Cogan who will serve the remainder of a vacated seat through June 2024. The Board will now consist of three elected Board members: Brittan Cowhey, Diane Lenning and Jean Cogan.

Dear Heron Pointe Homeowners,
As previously mentioned in an email to homeowners on June 6, 2023, not enough ballots were received to attain the quorum required in the Heron Pointe governing documents. The election was then postponed to June 27, 2023 to allow time for additional ballots to be received.
We are happy to announce that quorum has now been achieved and the election will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. online via Zoom and at the offices of Action Property Management. Below is information if you are interested in attending online or via Zoom. If you have not turned in your completed ballot and are planning to turn it in on the night of the election, you must bring it to the in-person election address.

A Town Hall-style Meeting with SBPD will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the lower park benches to address safety and security concerns expressed by homeowners within Heron Pointe and Seal Beach.

The Heron Pointe Annual Meeting for the Board of Directors will be held June 6, 2023. Ballots were mailed the first week of May. Please complete and return you ballot. Ballots returned by mail must be received by June 5, 2023. If you need a replacement ballot, please contact Action Property Management at communitycare@actionlife.com, or online chat at actionlife.com or by calling (949) 450-0202.
We need 51% (33 returned ballots) to reach quorum and meet the requirement of the minimum number of ballots returned in order to hold the election. Please mail your completed ballots as soon as you are able.

Season Greetings Heron Pointe Residents!
The Board of Directors is happy to remind residents and homeowners that in response to neighbor feedback, the Board has decided to move street sweeping times to a 12-3pm window on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The Board hopes that this will make it easier for homeowners to adhere to our parking rules. After 3-months, the Board plans to reevaluate this plan and hopes that it will succeed.
You may have already read in the October Board Update email, that the Board of Directors has voted to approve to decrease ARC application fees to $25 for exterior paint, solar panels, and other improvements that do not require a city building permit or 3rd party architectural review. Application fees for other improvement applications will remain $175. A deposit of $100 is now required of all ARC applications which is refundable upon filing of a completion notice with the HOA and verification by the ARC chairperson.

The 2022 Annual Meeting for the Board of Directors was held June 21, 2022. There were 5 candidates for two seats on the Board. Congratulations to Brittan Cowhey as the newest member of the Board. Brittan Cowhey, Casey Mungo and Darryl Werner will be your three Board members for the next year.
The next election for the Board of Directors will be held in June 2023.
