The Heron Pointe Association has noticed an increase in street parking, which is negatively impacting residents and the Association’s ability to maintain the streets. We are asking residents to be mindful when utilizing street parking.
Friendly parking reminders:
1. Please use your garage or driveway for parking vehicles before parking on the street.
2. Please do not block sidewalks while parking in your driveway.
3. Please do not block driveways while parking on the street.
4. Vehicles may not be stored on the street for longer than 72 hours. Vehicles that are going to be stored for longer than 72 hours should be parked in the garage or driveway.
5. Please do not park vehicles on the street during street sweeping days. Leaving cars on the street prevents a full cleaning of the streets.
6. No repairs or maintenance of vehicles may be conducted in the community, except for emergency repairs.
7. When having vendors park within the community, please advise them of parking rules and request that they do not block driveways, sidewalks, or prevent other homeowners from parking near
their homes.
8. Vendors should not park on the streets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 8 AM to 1:00 PM when street sweeping is taking place.
Let’s all work together to create a safe and friendly community!

Attention All Residents:
The Association is currently seeking candidates to serve on the Board of Directors. The Board will use the candidate count to determine whether an Election by Acclamation can be hosted (i.e., if the number of qualified candidates equals the number of open seats, those candidates may be declared elected without a contested ballot).
Key points
- Open seats: 2
- Candidate submission deadline: April 29, 2026. Submissions received by this deadline will be used to determine whether an election by acclamation is possible.
- Determination announcement: May 1, 2026 — the Association will announce whether an election is required or whether candidates will be elected by acclamation.
- If more qualified candidates are nominated than open seats, an election will be scheduled; details will be provided in a follow-up notice.
How to submit a candidacy
- Please see the attached form for completion and return as indicated on form.
What happens next
- The Association will review submitted materials for eligibility. If the number of qualified candidates equals the number of open seats by the submission deadline, the qualified candidates may be declared elected by acclamation and no contested election will be held. If there are more candidates than seats, an election will be scheduled and information about ballots, voting procedures, and meeting dates will follow.

There was one (1) qualified candidate who submitted their name for nomination, Mark Bauer, who was voted onto the Board at the meeting. After getting some feedback from residents on the upcoming project to convert the DG (decomposed granite) path to concrete, the Board has decided to hold off on the project and discuss it further at the July 22, 2025 Board meeting. If there is anything you would like the Board to consider, please send your comments in writing to Management. Thank you!

The Board has contracted with Protec Building Services on a project in which the DG path along Heron Circle that starts at the entrance will be converted to concrete. The Board felt this was in the best interest of the community, as the DG paths erode and require ongoing maintenance, whereas concrete does not. Concrete also provides a much better surface for those with wheelchairs, strollers, etc. and will make this area more accessible for residents. The project will begin on June 23, 2025 and is estimated to take 2-3 weeks to complete. The work areas will be defined with cones and caution tape, so please avoid these areas during the project. Should you have any questions, please reach out to Management.

We appreciate that Heron Pointe is a family friendly community with active youngsters at play! However, we wanted to bring to your attention that it has been observed that there are several residents in the community that are storing basketball backboards and other sporting equipment in the front of their homes. The Association’s Rules and Regulations state:
“Basketball backboards or other sports apparatus are not permitted unless expressly approved by the ARC in writing. Portable sports apparatus are permitted provided they are removed from view when not in use.”
In order to be in compliance with the Association’s Rules and Regulations, the Heron Pointe Board of Directors will enforce this rule, and courtesy notices will be sent to homeowners who have sporting equipment that is in view of the common when not in use per the Association’s enforcement policy.
If you would like a piece of sporting equipment to remain in view of the common area when not in use, you may complete an architectural application and submit it to the Association so the Architectural Review Committee can review it and decide if the piece of equipment will be permitted to be stored in view. Applications should include a description and picture of the sporting equipment and where it is intended to be placed, in addition to an explanation as to why the equipment is requested to be stored there. The Association will waive the architectural review fee for these types of applications, as the architect will not need to review these requests. You may download the application on the Resident Portal at resident.actionlife.com
All sporting equipment should be kept in good repair and should not be kept on the street.
Should you have any questions, please contact Management.
Thank you!
