Basketball Hoops/Sporting Equipment Reminder
Posted By rhart on June 5, 2025
We appreciate that Heron Pointe is a family friendly community with active youngsters at play! However, we wanted to bring to your attention that it has been observed that there are several residents in the community that are storing basketball backboards and other sporting equipment in the front of their homes. The Association’s Rules and Regulations state:
“Basketball backboards or other sports apparatus are not permitted unless expressly approved by the ARC in writing. Portable sports apparatus are permitted provided they are removed from view when not in use.”
In order to be in compliance with the Association’s Rules and Regulations, the Heron Pointe Board of Directors will enforce this rule, and courtesy notices will be sent to homeowners who have sporting equipment that is in view of the common when not in use per the Association’s enforcement policy.
If you would like a piece of sporting equipment to remain in view of the common area when not in use, you may complete an architectural application and submit it to the Association so the Architectural Review Committee can review it and decide if the piece of equipment will be permitted to be stored in view. Applications should include a description and picture of the sporting equipment and where it is intended to be placed, in addition to an explanation as to why the equipment is requested to be stored there. The Association will waive the architectural review fee for these types of applications, as the architect will not need to review these requests. You may download the application on the Resident Portal at resident.actionlife.com
All sporting equipment should be kept in good repair and should not be kept on the street.
Should you have any questions, please contact Management.
Thank you!
