Proposed Changes to Architectural Request Form

Pursuant to Civil Code §4360, the Board of Directors will be considering proposed changes to the Architectural Request Form at the Board of Directors meeting to be held via Zoom on April 22, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. If you wish share your opinion regarding the proposed changes, please send your written comments to management’s office so it can be delivered to the Board prior to the Board Meeting. Alternatively, if you can attend the Board Meeting, your constructive comments will be considered by the Board of Directors prior to its making a decision on the proposed changes. Any and all comments made at the Board Meeting will be subject to the standing rules of the Board related to member comments at Board meetings.

The proposed changes involve updating the review fees. This was necessitated because the current consultant, Robert Mitchell Associates, is retiring and the review fees were based on their rates. The Board has reviewed several proposals for architectural review services and is considering contracting with Smith Architects to perform these services. The updated fees are based on their fee structure. Their fees were the most competitive out of the other architectural firms that had submitted proposals. The review fee for exterior painting will continue to remain the same as it does not require architect review.
